A good way of getting things sort of for free is making them.
I got this sheepskin from the scrap store amongst a suitcase of other things for about £5 in total so the sheepskin was probably about 20p or less. I used some other slippers as a template and sewed them together. It was horrible to sew! I broke my needle and the thread snapped every couple of centimeters!
Very warm cosy slippers though!

I covered an old headband and added buttons.
The mustard top is from Oxfam and the spotty top is from a clothes swap for One25 project.

We found these within an hour of walking around an area of Bristol.
Went to the Scrap Store too today. There are still 1000s of balloons and lots of fabric. I picked up some gift bags, fabric and a cutting board.
The Scrapstore can be found in at 21 Servier Street, in the St Werburghs area of Bristol.
You have to be a member to access the main room of scrap but it is very cheap.
(Sorry #Katerpillarontoast I tried to reply to you in a message, but I didn’t understand what I was doing and ended up replying to you with one word!)

This week I found some boots. They are good quality, leather, made by Jones and size 40. I had a little look at their website and their boots are around £60 (in a sale) to £110.
I picked them up and just as I was walking away, the previous owner walked past and said how pleased she was that they had a new owner.
Unfortunately I have quite wide feet and high arches, meaning the top of my foot is quite high, therefore I don’t fit them :( So I shall be putting them in Treasure Stokes Croft charity shop on Monday for anyone who wants them. (Or contact me).
Giving shoes a new life on Flickr.
I remade these old pink leather shoes, by painting them gold and attaching vintage lace and buttons.
